Is it broken?

IMG_1054.jpg

After jumping off the stage at the end of his set… Marcel, Lead vocals and guitar of band called Die Hexe , announced to the audience that he thought he broke his ankle.

For the rest of the show, he was be asked probably around 100 times.. if it was broken..

no word yet from the doctor whether or not it is actually broken.. but pretty punk rock regardless of the outcome.

I usually bring my camera where ever I go, whether I take it out of the bag or not is a different question. – My Band Mirrors&Tides was playing a show and so, while waiting around I usually try and shoot the other bands that play. – This particular concert I wanted to get some cool shots of guitar players tuning their instruments. So I rolled the Shutter speed down cranked my Aperture up and set my flash to trigger on the end of the curtain cycle to get that blurred freeze look.

I have this amazing job where I get to MC these massive youth conferences up in Northern Canada.

I decided to grab my camera while the band was playing a take a few shots. 60D and 18-55 3.6 Kit Lens. I started shooting 1/45 3.6 no flash and tried to let the stage lights do the work. But I figured, the shots would be so grainy. – On there final song, I flipped my flash out and started shooting with a 2nd curtain flash. – The smoke in the room gives the shots a very neat grey contrast.
