IMG_1054.jpg

After jumping off the stage at the end of his set… Marcel, Lead vocals and guitar of band called Die Hexe , announced to the audience that he thought he broke his ankle.

For the rest of the show, he was be asked probably around 100 times.. if it was broken..

no word yet from the doctor whether or not it is actually broken.. but pretty punk rock regardless of the outcome.

The Road. (Day 26)

IMG_4235

If you read my last blog you will know that my film camera has been put on the shelf until I can figure out how to repair it. I still have several other film camera’s, but for a bit I think I’m going to use my DSLR. The 60D and friends.

This is the road I grew up on. There are millions of roads like this road in the world. But this one is mostly home to me. It’s been the most consistent home to me.

I moved around a lot with my mom. Different cities and towns. But this road, this is the road that has always been the same road. The same tree’s. The same neighbors and their barns. The same fields and crops. Smells and sunsets.

This road is where fathers family grew up. It’s the road that lives most the stories I’ve heard of my ancestors. It’s a place I can walk where my family has also walked. The land that we have owned for many many years.

This is where I should add the ‘But’ statement. As much as I could tell you about the land and it being in line to be sold, and issues out of our control. I won’t. The Land will always be there. It just may be creating a new story or holding new lives.

Sometimes, we have to movie on to the next chapter of life if we want to continue our story.

The World Is A Beautiful Place (day 23)

hurtsometimes

Going through these old iPhone photo’s I’m realizing that I’ve taken a lot of pictures of objects. It wasn’t until I got a “real” camera/ DSLR that I began to take pictures of people in people situations.

Even among’st our man made needs, the beauty of this planet will far overwhelm us.

Drama. (day 11)

IMG_0238.JPG

I realized that I weigh about 180 pounds more than him. So I took a picture.

This is an iPhone 5s photo. – over cast cloudy day obviously – I used snapseed to edit. – at first the shot was very over exposed by the back grounding sky- so I used the HDR process in snapseed and boom!

I was hoping that this lil guy would be smiling – but he was fairly unimpressed…

Instant Smile. (day 7)

BW - Sarah -Polaroid

I own a Polaroid Supercolor 600 – It’s really cool.

The most uncool thing is that film is expensive.

I try my best to make every shot count. – This photo was taken in complete darkness in a basement and I let the massive flash of the camera light the room. I then scanned it at 1200i resolution.

if you have a polaroid camera or film laying around and dont want it I will gladly take it off your hands.

Me. (Day 1)

me

I’ve never done anything like this before… actual I’m lying I vlogged my life for 10 days straight once and that was next to impossible. – I have a friend who is writing a blog everyday for the month of October all around one theme – She is an excellent writer and will be famous one day for it. Her name is Aliza and you can read her stuff here. — Anywho, I decided to steal her idea’s of fortune and fame by uploading some of the photo’s that I have kicking around every day this month. – I really truly hope to succeed.

Some will be long. Some will be short, a probably, some will be late. But regardless I hope to upload 30 or is it 31 photo’s over the next month… I guess 30 now because I’ve uploaded this one.. but I Haven’t uploaded it yet I’m still typing in the “new draft” box…

I don’t know

anyways here we go.

The above photo is me. I guess you could call it a selfie. Its on a 8mm fisheye on a canon 60D, a fairley expensive selfie.

Bought a Canon QL19 Rangefinder at a second hand shop the other day. After work I was out on the patio of the restaurant I work at with some other coworkers. There was a particularly bright over head light on a very calm night. So I tried my hand at some smoke portraits.

The battery in the range finder was dead so I was estimating shutter speed and things, because the internal Light meter needs the bat.
