Walking On Sunshine.

I was at a wedding a few days ago, and like most weddings they had a dance. That old song, “Walking On Sunshine” came on. you know the one with the “Wooh ohh” part after they say the words “I’m walking on sunshine”? Yeah that one.

So while up dancing my legs off, and working up a fat kid sweat, I started thinking what it would actually be like to walk on sunshine and if that is actually possible. I’m not talking about walking on the sun… No, I’m talking about walking on light. The shine, from the sun. Sunshine.

Quickly did I stop thinking about this just as a beautiful girl moved and danced in front of me (my gf) :).

I took this photo a few days ago. The Location is the shore of Lake Erie along Rondeau Ontario. It’s shot with a Yashica FX-D Quartz 35mm SLR, with a 50mm lens. – I don’t know the exact settings. But I know it wasn’t a full closed aperture maybe 11 or 8, but I know it was 1/250 shutter speed.

If you haven’t noticed by now, the photo is extremely over exposed due to the light from the sun reflecting down on to the clear white sand and into all directions. A clear, clear sky made the sunlight fall down like a water fall that afternoon, and leaving me with a slight sunburn….

The Silhouette of the girl is walking on the sunshine.

The sunshine glaring down on the sand. The sunshine burning my face. The sunshine beaming through the lens and over exposing itself onto my 400iso film. The sunshine that brings life. The sunshine that brings darkness. The sun, shining, allowing us to live, allowing us to be.

Thanks for reading.
